Eurovision 2024. Submit your song – criteria

To take part in the pre-selections, you must be at least 16 years old and have Polish citizenship . The song submitted to the competition cannot be longer than 3 minutes and must have original music, lyrics and a premiere character . In practice, this means that songs published after September 1, 2023 can be submitted to the competition. The works participating in the pre-selections cannot contain content that discriminates against any social groups. The Eurovision Song Contest is an event promoting culture, diversity and universal values. One of the key ideas of the competition is to break boundaries and build bridges through music. Detailed regulations of the Polish pre-selection can be found at eurowizja.tvp.pl.

Eurovision 2024. Stars on stage

The opportunity to perform in the Eurovision Song Contest is a huge prestige for its participants and a milestone on the way to an international career. Musical personalities such as Måneskin, Sam Ryder, Måns Zelmerlöw, Abba, Celine Dion and the previously mentioned Loreen appeared on the Eurovision stage . Participation in national pre-selections is a unique opportunity to be among this distinguished group.

Poland in Eurovision

Poland debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 with flying colours achieving an honorable placing with Edyta Gorniak‘s To nie ja, the country’s best result till date.

The country has faced mixed fortunes in the competition achieving only three top 10 placing in the event since its debut. Poland withdrew from the competition in 2012 due to poor results and financial issues and was absent from the competition for three consecutive years until their return in 2014.

Poland has partaken 25 times in our beloved song contest. In 2023 Poland was represented by Blanka at the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool with her entry ‘Solo‘.
